Aligned to Nurture, LLC

Why I started this practice
I started Aligned to Nurture because I thought breastfeeding would be easy — something natural that would simply happen. But with my first daughter, it was a struggle. I felt lost, defeated, and alone in something I thought should feel instinctual.
By the time I had my son, I thought I’d be more prepared. But life had other plans. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent extensive surgery and wasn’t able to breastfeed my miracle baby the way I had hoped.
Still, we found our way.
We fed him with love, with donor milk, by bottle, and skin to skin.
And in that quiet closeness, I learned something life-changing.
You can still create a bond when life gets in the way.
You can still nurture, even when the path is unexpected.
That truth is woven into every part of this practice. Whether your journey is smooth, complicated, joyful, or heartbreaking, you don’t have to walk it alone. I’ve been there. And I’m here now to help you find your way forward.

Yours in health,

Dr. Alison's Story
Dr. Alison’s passion for Chiropractic started with her own story. At age 12, she was diagnosed with moderate to severe scoliosis. Her doctor placed her on a “watch and wait” plan, but the curve progressed, leading to pain, an expensive back brace, and the emotional toll of feeling different.
Looking for answers, she discovered Chiropractic. It not only eased her pain but also improved her posture, muscle tone, and overall function. Experiencing this transformation firsthand inspired her to become a Chiropractor herself.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College/Cleveland University in 2013, along with a BS in Human Biology. After working in two practices, she co-founded Hands on Health Family Chiropractic, LLC, where she served the community for 10 years. At the end of 2025, she transitioned to focus on her true calling—supporting pregnant people, infants, and children.
Dr. Alison will sit for her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) boards in Spring 2026 and will begin offering full-service lactation services in Summer 2026. This additional training allows her to blend infant bodywork with lactation guidance, creating a unique, whole-family approach to care.
Her own health journey also shaped her path. In 2016, Dr. Alison was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Through treatment and recovery, she partnered with Jill’s Hope Foundation, helping patients access integrative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, reiki, meditation, and chiropractic. Today, she continues to support individuals and families navigating cancer with compassion and care.
In 2023, life brought another challenge, her daughter Ella-Mae (age 7 at the time) was diagnosed with CLN3 Batten disease, a rare and fatal neurodegenerative disorder. This experience deepened Dr. Alison’s dedication to children with rare conditions, developmental delays, and neurological differences. With Chiropractic’s unique influence on the nervous system, she is passionate about offering hope and support to this special population.
