Class IV Laser

A Gentle Support for Healing

At Aligned to Nurture, we use Class IV laser photobiomodulation as a supportive therapy to help the body heal more efficiently. Laser therapy works by delivering specific wavelengths of light into the tissues to:

  • Calm inflammation

  • Support tissue repair

  • Improve circulation

  • Reduce discomfort

  • Help the body hold adjustments better

Laser therapy does not force change in the body. It supports your nervous system and tissues so your body can do what it’s designed to do: heal.

What Does a Laser Session Feel Like?

  • Warm, soothing sensation (most patients find it relaxing)

  • No needles, no pain, no downtime

  • Sessions typically last 2–15 minutes, depending on the age, condition and area

  • Safe for infants, children, prenatal/postpartum, and adult patients when clinically appropriate

How Laser Is Used in Our Office

Laser therapy may be recommended:

  • Alongside an adjustment to support healing

  • During acute injuries or flare-ups

  • Stubborn chronic conditions

  • For prenatal or postpartum tissue support (post c-section scarring, breast/nipple pain, clogged ducts, mastitis, etc.)

  • For pediatric tension, injuries, growth-related discomfort, pre- and post- frenectomy, torticollis, or sports strains

  • When an adjustment is not needed at that visit

Laser is always optional and recommended only when it supports your care goals.

Why Laser Therapy for Infants?

Infant bodies are highly adaptable and responsive. When used appropriately, laser photobiomodulation can gently support tissue healing and neurological organization without force or stress.

Laser may be recommended to support:

  • Birth-related tension or trauma (including long or assisted deliveries)

  • Torticollis and one-sided neck or body preference

  • Increased muscle tone or tension patterns

  • Brachial plexus irritation or strain

  • Oral and facial tension affecting latch, feeding, or comfort

  • Tethered oral tissues (lip, cheek, or tongue ties), both pre and post release

  • General nervous system calming during periods of rapid growth or transition

Laser therapy for infants is:

  • Very gentle and brief

  • Non-invasive and comfortable

  • Used to support the body’s natural healing processes

Treatment time is intentionally shorter for infants, which is reflected in our infant-specific pricing.

Investment in Care

Laser Therapy added to an adjustment: $45

When laser is used on its own: $50

Infant Laser Session (<1year old): $35

Laser therapy is offered as a supportive service and is not required at every visit. Dr. Alison will recommend it only when clinically appropriate.

Our Philosophy

We believe in thoughtful, intentional care. Every service we offer is chosen because it supports your body’s ability to heal, not because it’s trendy or expected.

If you ever have questions about whether laser therapy is right for you or your child, we’re always happy to talk it through.
